Advancements in AI Capabilities for Reshaping the Work Landscape
Copilot Actions: Users can set any task in automation – get the inputs from the stakeholders for a weekly update, summarize important mail, or remind important functions at the end of the day. Those features will now be available in Copilot by just giving a prompt.
AI agent in SharePoint: Organizations rely on SharePoint for managing their knowledge base and collaboration. Now, every SharePoint will have its own AI agents through which users can quickly retrieve project details and summarize documents. Not only can users query data from the files, but they can also create customer agents for specific tasks to get faster and more accurate responses from folders and files.
Employee self-service Agent: The agent will offer answers to specific questions related to workplace-related queries such as organizational policies
Facilitator agent: This agent will work within Microsoft Teams, which is specialized for taking minutes of meetings in real-time and sharing them in chat so the team members can collaborate seamlessly.
Interpreter Agent: This agent enables meeting participants to communicate and listen in language as per their choice by providing them with the instantaneous interpretation of conversation, set to make its preview next year. The agent will also enable people to simulate their voices for inclusivity.
Project Manager Agent: From creating a project plan to the assignment of tasks, project tracking, or reporting of status, every stage of the project management can be taken care of by the Project Manager Agent. It can complete tasks and also create content. This agent currently in its preview stage, automates various tasks associated with project planning and execution, allowing users to focus on strategic decision making.
Microsoft 365 Copliot updates:
Copilot pages: Copilot pages with new exciting changes are set to be available in early 2025. include new features through which users can generate visually interactive workflows to blocks of code drawing data from Microsoft graphs, enterprise data, or web data. This feature is designed especially for multiplayer AI collaboration which allows users to collaborate in real-time and work on the canvas, as and when required, refine it over time, and share it across the teams.
Copilot in Teams: A major update is related to the enhancement of Microsoft’s Teams capabilities by adding features like summarization of meetings, chats, and the content presented on screen during meetings and consolidating insights into the presentation and conversations that happened during the call. It will soon support multilingual transcription and translations and provide options to the users to simulate their voice. These features are expected to roll out in early 2025.
Copilot in Powerpoint: Copilot can translate the entire PowerPoint presentation into 4o languages retaining its original design. Copilot’s Narrative builder can refer to the document, and convert it into an informative ready-to-present document by building a narrative in well-crafted design templates and animations. Copilot will use images stored in the organization’s asset libraries from SharePoint for seamless integration of the same in presentations.
Copilot in Excel: With Copilot in Excel users can give prompts and can create spreadsheets tailored to their selected tasks such as project budgets, tracking of inventory, sales, etc
Copilot in Outlook: Now with the added advantage of Copilot, the user has to no longer fix meetings manually, copilot will schedule focus time, one-on-one meetings, or team meetings based on analyzing calendars to find the availability of participants. On the basis of goals provided by user copilot will draft meeting agendas too while scheduling the meeting.
